Post subject:  PARLOR GUITAR CASE

I just finished my first Size 1 parlor, and can't find a case that will accommodate it. I have a "Canadian" parlor case, but it's a flat top number. The lid puts too much pressure on the bridge when I try to close it. I know that I can custom order one from Ameritage, or Cedar Creek, however I'd like to find one "off the rack" so to speak. I sent an email to Martin's customer service department, but haven't heard back from them. Anyone out there have a source?

Thanks.

Try the TRIC parlour case.

Also look at the Guardian line...

Is there a special "Mike Collins" signature model for the 1850's Martin? I'll need one this summer. (I hope - but I owe people 4 instruments now. That's a big backlog for me).

Washburn made a case for it's parlor reprise that works O.K. for the size 1. It's around $100.
I make vintage style cases out of 1/2 inch pine and 1/8th inch plywood. They are not hard to make, but the Washburn case is nicer.

The Larrivee folks have a nice parlor case.

The original Larrivee parlors didn't have a Larrivee case. FQMS, which sold a lot of them, had a case from TKL which fit very well, but I'm not sure if it would fit one with a more standard scale length.
